Radhapuram Assembly Constituency lies in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, under Tirunelveli Lok Sabha, serving a coastal rural area near Kanyakumari known for paddy, rubber cultivation, fishing communities, and proximity to Uvari beach and temples. M Appavu of DMK is the current MLA as of March 2026, elected in 2021 with 82,331 votes (43.95%-44.17% share) defeating AIADMK's I S Inbadurai (76,406 votes, 40.79%-40.99%) by a margin of 5,925 votes, with no by-elections or changes reported ahead of 2026 polls. Key issues include irrigation shortages, coastal erosion and fishing harbor needs, rural electrification gaps, healthcare access, youth unemployment beyond agriculture, road links to highways, and welfare schemes for fishermen in this southern frontier region.
