If the view is what you prioritise, Ohau—a ski location between Christchurch and Queenstown—absolutely takes the cake. With a great choice of steeps and excellent riding for all levels, Ohau is an internationally-renowned snowboard resort that's a must-do for keen riders. Alternatively, The Remarkables, Treble Cone, Cardrona and Porters are all worth a mention, and all of them offer lessons for beginners.
