While the cricket world marvelled at Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s breathtaking 29-ball 97 in the IPL Eliminator, people in his village of Tajpur watched it like just another day. From smashing bowlers twice his age as a teenager to rapidly making adjustments within weeks, the 15-year-old’s rise has stunned even seasoned cricketers but not the clan that saw him take his early steps in Bihar.
