Man dies in road accident

Kanpur: A sales manager of a private finance company died on Monday morning in the Shastri Nagar area under the Kakadeo police station jurisdiction after his bike skidded while he attempted to save a scooty rider. Fellow employees rushed him to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Prashant Tiwari (35), a resident of Masawanpur, suffered serious head injuries after his bike skidded and overturned near Neercheir Chauraha in Shastri Nagar on Monday morning while he was riding to his office in Fazalganj.Police said Tiwari applied the front brake hard to avoid a scooty rider who suddenly appeared in front of him. The bike went out of control, skidded and overturned on the road.During the accident, the helmet strap came loose and the helmet flew off, after which Tiwari’s head struck the road, causing him serious injuries. He was admitted to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Prashant is survived by his wife Shalu, daughters Sanvi and Samridhi, and younger brother Deepu. Kakadeo Inspector Dharmendra Kumar Ram stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
