Hosapete (Vijayanagara): BJP state president BY Vijayendra on Thursday alleged that the Congress govt’s administrative machinery in
Karnataka has come to a complete standstill and claimed that chief minister
Siddaramaiah’s resignation is imminent.
Speaking to reporters here, Vijayendra expressed dissatisfaction over the prevailing political situation in the state and accused the Congress govt of failing on multiple fronts. He alleged that Karnataka has suffered both economically and administratively over the past year due to internal conflicts within the party. Ministers and MLAs, he said, are spending time in Bengaluru and Delhi instead of addressing public issues.
Claiming that farmers in rural areas are struggling due to a fertiliser shortage, Vijayendra said there is no one to hear their grievances. “This govt has become a curse for the state,” he charged. Referring to a possible change of the CM, Vijayendra questioned whether the Congress high command still exists and alleged that whoever becomes the next CM will not be able to improve the system. “The govt is functioning only as an ATM for the high command,” he alleged.
Vijayendra clarified that the BJP is not interested in interfering in the Congress party’s internal affairs, noting that the people have given the Congress 136 seats for a stable govt. However, he said the BJP will continue its fight against the hardships faced by the public due to the ruling party’s internal conflicts. MLA Krishnanayak and party leaders Chennabasavanagouda Patil and Ayyali Thimmappa were present.
