The poem comes amid explosive claims by BJP MP Saumitra Khan, who alleged that nearly 20 TMC MPs and around 50 MLAs are unhappy within the party and could switch sides if the BJP leadership gives approval. Khan claimed that such a move could severely weaken the Trinamool Congress politically. Shared on Facebook, Mamata Banerjee’s poem accused certain leaders of changing “colour and character” for personal gain and betraying party workers during difficult times.
