After deadline miss, CBSE goes live with revaluation portal from June 2 for class 12 students
CHENNAI: After missing the June 1 deadline to keep the revaluation and issues-verification portal running, the central board of secondary education (CBSE) has launched the portal for class 12 students on Tuesday.
Students can now apply for verification of issues observed in the answer sheet scans and revaluation till June 6 midnight. They will be required to input their aadhaar number to login to the portal: cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html
The CBSE said that aadhaar verification has been introduced for security reasons. "For children who do not have Aadhaar, the parent's, relative's or guardian's Aadhaar details may be used. In this case, the Aadhaar Name, Date of Birth and Gender must be of the person whose Aadhaar number is used," the board said in a release.
Students must pay Rs 100 per answer book for verification and resolution of any issues observed in the scans, such as missing pages, supplementary sheets, maps/graphs, blurred pages, incorrect answer book, or evaluation against a different set.
For revaluation of an answer, the cost is Rs 25 per question. The fee may be paid only through online modes. Only one application each for re-evaluation and verification of issues are permitted and students can select issues across multiple subjects in one application.
"Once the ‘Freeze and Proceed to payment’ button is clicked, the details will be locked," the board said.
The board has also provided a tutorial to help students with the applications.
