Ludhiana: Three masked men allegedly set a factory owner’s car on fire outside his house in Haibowal Kalan, with the act captured on CCTV.
According to an FIR by Mohd Shakir, a resident of Gaganpreet Vihar, the incident occurred on the intervening night of May 30. He had parked his black Mahindra KUV100 in an empty plot opposite his house after locking it.

Hyundai i20 arriving with three occupants, who first surveyed the area. One suspect then stepped out with a bottle, poured a flammable liquid on the vehicle, and set it ablaze. The car caught fire instantly with a loud explosion, after which the accused fled in the i20.
Shakir told police he has no personal enmity but suspects a business dispute involving his brother-in-law, who recently parted ways with a former partner and joined him. He alleged that the former partner had issued threats.
Investigating officer ASI Makkhan Singh said a case has been registered under Section 326(A) of the BNS. Police are examining CCTV footage and probing all angles, including business rivalry and conspiracy.
