Educationist and coaching institute owner Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, will not surrender before the Patna Civil Court in connection with a case linked to the June 2 attack on his coaching centre, according to his lawyer Arvind Kumar Mavvar. The legal team plans to seek anticipatory bail, with the lawyer stating that the deadline to file the plea ended on Saturday and that the application would now be moved on Monday. The case relates to an attack on Khan Sir’s institute, where videos showed several individuals allegedly assaulting a security guard, pelting bricks and stones, and tearing down posters outside the premises. While reports initially suggested firing, Patna Police denied any gunfire. Two security guards employed at the institute have already been arrested and sent to jail, while Khan Sir was questioned during the investigation.
