Putin Drops Big Reveal On Russia's Role In Tehran's Military Campaign; 'No Weapons Sent...'

Russian president Vladimir Putin has sent shockwaves across the world over the claims surrounding Moscow's purported military assistance to Iran during the Islamic Republic's war against the United States and Israel. Speaking at the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Putin claimed Tehran never asked for weapons and Moscow hadn’t supplied any. He added that Iran could obtain intelligence and satellite information from commercial providers and other countries, suggesting Russia was not the sole source of such capabilities. Tensions between Tehran and Washington are still ongoing, despite a ceasefire that came into effect on April 8 to halt the fighting. Meanwhile, talks between the two sides are continuing but have yet to produce significant progress.
