Khaleel Palace is a recent entry to the list of budget hotels in Gulmarg. In the winters, the hotel plays host to weekly burger parties and other social events. Rooms are spacious, centrally heated and have running hot water. However, like other budget hotels in Gulmarg, central heating and running hot water is only available during specific times of the day. If you decide to stay here, choose rooms which are at the front of the hotel as they have good views of the Gondola side. Alternately, some other rooms at the back side have decent views of the forest area. As the hotel is sandwiched between another two hotels, view from several rooms is simply a wall. The restaurant at Khaleel Palace is small and serves the usual fare. Khaleel Palace too is located close to the Gondola, which is a short pleasant walk away. Do note that vehicles do not reach the door of the hotel and guests will need to walk a short distance to get to the hotel. If you’re visiting Gulmarg during the skiing season, and are an intermediate to advance level skier, you can ski in and out to and from the hotel.
