A short uphill walk from Pine Palace, Alpine Ridge is similar to Pine Palace. Parties, mingling, music and a live bar during the skiing season make this place good fun to be at. Beware that rooms are basic and there have been instances of leaking ceilings and other niggles. The staff is helpful though and will usually try their best to accommodate most of your requests. Rooms have central heating and running hot water, however, hot water is available only in the mornings and evenings and central heating is switched on in the evenings only.Food varies from lip smacking to average. There have been times when I have been served most delicious meals at Alpine Ridge, but at other times, I have eaten simply because I did not have any other option.
A health club with steam and sauna facilities and a massage parlour are under construction and will be available to travellers soon. Other facilities at Alpine Ridge include TV and DTH in rooms, power backup, a lounge, hookah bar, cards room, laundry services, a business centre, parking facilities, a doctor on call and a travel desk.
The walk to the Gondola base station is slightly longer as compared to Heevan Retreat or Pine Palace, but you wouldn’t mind it as the route is very beautiful.
