Maharani Ristorante Indiano is situated conveniently close to the train station in Mestre, and was the first Indian restaurant in Mestre, which is on the mainland. It is just a short drive or train ride across the bridge from the island of Venice.Maharani Ristorante Indiano serves mostly North Indian food in a friendly and relaxed setting. The menu isn’t huge, but has most of the veg, non-vegetarian, and fish curries, starters, and North Indian favourites that would expect. They also have some interesting set menus to choose from New Delhi (chicken), Kashmir (mutton), Goa (fish), and Jaipur (vegetarian), or you could go all out and try the menu maharajah.
The staff is helpful, the food is tasty, portions are a good size, and prices are reasonable by Venetian standards.
