Co-parenting after divorce

These days, relationships and marriages have become quite fragile, so much so that divorces between even long-term couples have become quite normal. More recently, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya announced his divorce with Natasa Stankovic, after being married for years. Theirs' was a mutual divorce and the couple shared that they'll be co-parenting their son Agastya. This shows their maturity and love for their son, despite their differences.

From Hardik Pandya-Natasa Stankovic to Malaika Arora-Arbaaz Khan, here we list down some celebrities who are successfully co-parenting their children.

Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic

Recently Serbian actress-model Natasa Stankovic made her first post on Instagram, after announcing her divorce with Hardik Pandya roughly a week ago. In her latest post, Natasa Stankovic shared pictures with her son Agastya having fun at a dinosaur themed-museum. But what caught people's attention was her former-husband Hardik Pandya's comment on the post. Hardik was quick to respond to Natasa's post with heart eyes, an evil eye, and a heart emoji-- which shows his love and support for his son and ex-wife.

In their mutual divorce announcement, Hardik and Natasa had said, "We are blessed with Agastya who will continue to be at the center of both our lives and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness."

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan

Actor Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's divorce after 13 years of marriage came as shock to many back in 2014. The former couple have two sons together-- Hrehaan who was born in 2006 and Hridhaan who was born in 2008. And while both Hrithik and Sussanne have since then moved on in life, they contnue to share a cordial equation and co-parent their sons. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan are often spotted together at their sons' school and college events, or for family get-togethers. Hrithik also sometimes goes on vacations with his sons to spend quality time with them.

Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow

Actress-well guru Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin married in 2003, but roughly after a decade of togetherness, they announced their separation in 2014 followed by their divorce in 2016. Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have two children together-- son Moses and daughter Apple-- whom they continue to co-parent. In a 2023 Ask Me Anything (AMA) Q&A session for her brand Goop, Gwyneth spoke about consciously co-parenting with her former husband Chris; she also praised him for bringing his "fairy dust" into their family dynamic.

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan

Former couple Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan were married for 19 long years and have a son Arhaan together. While Malaika and Arbaaz parted ways in 2017, they seem to be on cordial terms when it comes to co-parenting their son. The former couple is often spotted dropping Arhaan at the airport; Arhaan too seems to be quite close to both his parents. He was even present at Arbaaz's second marriage to Sshura Khan in 2023.

Talking about co-parenting, Malaika told Hello Magazine in an earlier interview that it was "tricky" intially, but now she and Arbaaz have found a balance for co-parenting Arhaan. "For whatever it’s worth, touch wood, we’ve found a great balance now. Perhaps initially it was a little tricky. And rightly so — because that’s just how life is. We both knew that irrespective of everything else and what may have transpired between two adults, it should never reflect on a child — and we have figured out a very congenial way of co-parenting," Malaika said in the interview.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta

Actor Aamir Khan was earlier married to Reena Dutta and the former couple have two children together-- daughter Ira and son Junaid. Aamir and Reena had eloped and married due to religious differences in 1986, and the former couple were married for 16 years. However, after their divorce and Aamir Khan marrying Kiran Rao later, the former couple Aamir and Reena continue to be on friendly terms. So much so that Aamir, Kiran Rao, and their son Azad, were a part of Ira's wedding to Nupur Shikhare in 2023.

For the unversed, Aamir and Kiran Rao have also parted ways now. However, they too continue to be cordial and co-parent their son Azad.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren

American professional golfer Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren has a high-profile divorce back in 2010, amidst reports of Woods' infidelity. Now, over 10 years later, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren seem to be cordial when it comes to co-parenting their two children. Earlier this year, the former couple were spotted together in Florida earlier to support their son, Charlie, at a school event.

Talking about Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren's equation now, a source close to Elin told People magazine in a recent interview, "They’re friends now. Everything that happened in the past is in the past... They both decided to be adults and to do what was best for the kids. So they get along really well. Tiger says really great things about Elin. He never complains about her, ever… The kids love them both."

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh

Actor Saif Ali Khan was earlier married to actress Amrita Singh. The two had eloped and gotten married in January 1991. During their 13 years of marriage, Saif and Amrita had two children together- daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim. However, despite their differences and divorce in 2004, the former couple are cordial when it comes to co-parenting their children. So much so that Sara and Ibrahim were a part of Saif's second wedding to Kareena Kapoor in 2012. Not just this, Sara and Ibrahim share a close bond not just with their father Saif, but also with his now-wife Kareena. They are often seen spending quality time with Saif during festivities and family get-togethers.
