World leaders and their love for food

When we talk about world leaders they often make headlines for framing policies and designing economic structures of their country. Sometimes they even turn heads for their classic and sharp dressing sense, which often turns out to be their signature patterns that common people replicate on occasions. And then there are days when they talk about their favourite food and cuisine. In a recent post on Instagram, Taste Atlas listed world leaders and their favourite foods. Take a look.

He is known for his love for all desi Indian foods. He is a fan of moringa paratha, khichdi, and dhokla as well. He also enjoys immunity boosting kadha during season change.

As per the post, he loves baozi, jiaozi, and the combination of fish and chips. For the unversed, baozi is a type of Chinese steamed bun, which is filled with chicken or pork, along with a combination of vegetables, red bean paste, custard, and lotus seed paste.

The President of France on his India tour made headlines for enjoying masala chai with PM Modi. When it comes to his favourites it includes cordon bleu, blanquette de veau, and wine. Cordon bleu is a classic dish that uses meat (chicken or pork), which is stuffed with cheese and ham, and then baked or pan-fried.

He is known for his classic taste in food and as per the post, he enjoys tandoori salmon, pasta bake, and sandwiches the most.

He is the Chancellor of Germany and is known for his love for spaghetti frutti di mare, brötchen, and weisswurst. For the unversed, brötchen refers to small bread rolls which are eaten for breakfast or lunch and are served with butter, cheese, cold cuts, jam, or used to make sandwiches.

She is the President of Mexico and as per Taste Atlas post, she loves tacos al pastor, chiles rellenos, and chapulines. Here, chapulines refers to a traditional Mexican snack made with grasshoppers, commonly eaten in regions like Oaxaca. As per food experts, to make this dish grasshoppers are toasted or fried with ingredients like garlic, lime juice, chili powder, and salt and served hot.

He is the Prime Minister of Canada and is known for his love for pizza, dairy milk chocolate, and ice cream as his favourite foods, Taste Atlas post states.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva


He is the President of Brazil and loves eating rabada, galinhada and Arroz com feijão or bife e ovo. Galinhada is a traditional Brazilian dish made with chicken and rice, which are slow-cooked together with onions, garlic, tomatoes, spices, and sometimes vegetables.
