The trend suggested stronger footfalls during later screenings and contributed to the film's Day 3 rise.
While the film continues its theatrical run, discussions around Janhvi Kapoor's character Achiyyamma have remained active online. New conversations emerged after alleged private chats shared by fan pages began circulating on social media platforms.
As reported by India Today, the screenshots, which remain unverified, appeared to suggest that Janhvi had raised concerns about certain camera angles during filming.
One message allegedly written by the actor read: “I told him no b**b and waist shots (sic).” Another message also claimed that Ram Charan supported her concerns. "And Ram sir is so sweet. He also yelled at him and said, 'You will not take such angles of her ever again.' So he got upset (sic),"
Further screenshots reportedly hinted at wider discussions regarding how her character was being presented visually in the film.
“It keeps happening in the south (sic).” “No, in this what they were taking was worse. But Ram sir said no way, stop (sic).” “You have no idea what I've been dealing with. Trying to make them understand (sic).”
As criticism surrounding the film continued online, director Buchi Babu Sana released a public statement addressing the issue.
"As a filmmaker, I believe cinema should entertain, inspire, and connect with audiences. It should never make anyone feel uncomfortable or disrespected,"
"We have heard the feedback regarding certain scenes in Peddi and have taken it seriously,"
The filmmaker also stated that the team respected audience concerns and would make changes to portions that received criticism.
