BJP launches drive to mark PM Modi’s 12 years
Patna: State BJP president Sanjay Saraogi on Friday announced a series of programmes across Bihar to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 12 years in office and becoming the country’s longest continuously serving PM on June 10.
Saraogi said the party would celebrate the twin milestones under the theme “12 Saal Bemisaal: Vishwas, Vikas Jankalyan” from June 5 to June 21.
Describing the period as “golden”, Sanjay told reporters that PM Modi had enhanced India’s standing globally while implementing several welfare-oriented initiatives and laying the foundation for a developed India by 2047.
As part of the fortnight-long outreach campaign, BJP workers, office-bearers, MLAs and MPs will engage with locals and prominent citizens across assembly and parliamentary constituencies.
The programme has been divided into several phases. Between June 8 and June 14, MPs and MLAs will distribute booklets highlighting the Prime Minister’s achievements. MPs will spend one day in each of their six assembly segments, while MLAs will cover all mandal units under their respective constituencies.
The party will also organise Pragati Path Yatras to showcase the achievements of the central and state govts. BJP workers will undertake cleanliness drives in their localities as part of the campaign.
In addition, a ‘Jan Sahyog’ programme will be conducted in every assembly constituency from June 12 to June 20. District-level conferences will also be organised for the adoption of the Bharat resolution.
The celebrations will conclude with International Yoga Day programmes across the state on June 21.
Reflecting the campaign’s focus on public participation, BJP workers on Friday planted saplings at more than 92,000 polling booths across Bihar under the “Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam” initiative.
Senior party leaders, including Raju Jha, Priti Shekhar, Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachol, Pawan Jaiswal, Pranav Kumar and Danish Iqbal, were present with Sanjay during the announcement.
