The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to announce the KCET Result 2026 soon, ending the wait for thousands of students seeking admission to undergraduate professional courses across Karnataka. Candidates who appeared for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 will be able to check and download their scorecards through the official KEA candidate portal once the result link is activated.

KCET is one of the most important entrance examinations in the state and serves as the gateway for admission to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary sciences and several other professional programmes offered by colleges and universities in Karnataka. The examination was conducted on April 23 and April 24 at centres across the state, with a large number of students participating in the entrance test.

The result declaration has been closely watched by candidates as KEA had earlier indicated that the Agriculture and Veterinary Practical Examination at the Hiriyur Centre, scheduled for June 1, had to be completed before the final results could be announced. The authority had also advised students to keep their hall ticket numbers and other login credentials ready for quick access to their scorecards once the results are released.

Apart from the practical examination schedule, the result timeline was also affected by a re-examination conducted on May 24 in Hiriyur following reports of malpractice. Officials stated that the evaluation and result preparation process would continue after the completion of the re-test cycle. As a result, candidates have been awaiting confirmation of the final result date while monitoring official announcements from KEA.

Once released, the KCET 2026 scorecards will be available online. Candidates will have to log in to the official KEA portal using their registration details and other required credentials to view and download their results. Students are advised to carefully check all information mentioned on the scorecard and keep a copy for future admission-related processes.

The focus will then shift to the counselling process, which is expected to begin shortly after the declaration of results. KEA has indicated that the counselling schedule may start earlier than in some previous years. The process is likely to include option entry, mock allotment, seat allotment and admission confirmation stages. During option entry, candidates will be required to submit a list of preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.

The mock allotment round is expected to help candidates understand how their choices may affect seat allocation. It also gives students an opportunity to review their preferences before the actual allotment process begins. Candidates should therefore prepare their option lists carefully based on their rank, preferred course and college choices.

Meanwhile, KEA has also provided opportunities for pending document verification and introduced a secure login facility for CBSE and ICSE students to facilitate the retrieval of Class 12 marks. As the result announcement draws closer, candidates are advised to regularly visit the official KEA websites for updates regarding scorecards, rank lists, counselling schedules, option entry, document verification and seat allotment procedures.
