Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission issued a Rs 50,000 bailable warrant against secretary of Lucknow Development Authority for failing to comply with its orders in a pending complaint.The action follows the authority ignoring the commission’s May 21, directive. LDA neither submitted the required inquiry report nor sent any authorised officer to explain the case status.Taking serious view of the anomaly, the commission termed the conduct “highly objectionable” and said it reflected disregard for its authority. It noted that the official failed to comply without any valid reason.The commission directed Lucknow police commissioner to execute the warrant and submit a compliance report before the next hearing on Jun 8.The case relates to a complaint filed by Rajendra Singh, a former district judge and resident of Gomti Nagar Vistar, on Dec 11, 2025. The complaint is registered under Section M-1 and pertains to alleged misconduct by a govt department. Further proceedings will be taken up on the next date of hearing.
