JNT U-12 Tourney: Naman Bharadwaj guides Maplewood XI to victory
Kanpur: Opener Naman Bharadwaj’s fine knock of 75 runs empowered Maplewood XI to beat Liverpool XI by 12 runs in a pool league match of the JNT Under-12 cricket tournament for Sigma Griplock Trophy at Kanpur South Ground on Monday.
Deciding to bat first, Maplewood XI scored 9 for 169 in 25 overs. Naman was the main scorer and struck 75 runs off 77 balls. Liverpool XI, in reply, could collect 6 for 157. Prince Yadav scored the highest 59 runs for his team. In another match, Swastik International defeated Oliver Brown by 9 wickets. Oliver Brown, after being invited to bat, scored 5 for 125. Swastik International, in reply, scored the required runs for the loss of one wicket.

The tie witnessed one century from each team. Dinesh Mishra XI posted a total of 9 for 176 and, in reply, Bhola Singh XI scored 3 for 177 runs to win the match.
