Times News NetworkMhow: Army War College, Mhow organised a special plantation programme under the banner of ‘Dhanwantari Aushadhi Vatika, as part of Environmental Forestry Scheme 2026, on the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday.The Army personnel planted a variety of medicinal saplings like Ashwagandha, Tulsi, Amla, Aloe Vera, and Giloy in collaboration with forest department’s Mhow range and Indore forest division. As per AWC release, the drive aimed to plant approximately 1,000 saplings of around 50 medicinal species, including rare, endangered and threatened (RET) varieties.AWC Commandant Lt Gen Ajay Chandpuriya, deputy commandant Maj Gen Gaurav Rishi and other senior officers of the College were present during the event. Senior Army officers, jawans, and officials from the forest department also participated in the activity.
