T Congress accuses Modi govt of failing students over NEET paper leak, demands Pradhan’s resignation
Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP govt of playing with the lives of lakhs of students and alleged that its failures jeopardised their future. Congress also demanded the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET exam paper leak and CBSE issues.
Referring to the NEET-2026 UG exam paper leak allegations, following which a retest would be conducted, Mahesh Goud said the failure of Modi and the central govt has pushed lakhs of students’ future into uncertainty.
He was speaking at Telangana Congress’ protest rally in the city, condemning the central govt over the NEET-UG paper leak, rising fuel prices, CBSE-related issues, and the depreciation of the rupee.
The rally was held from Basheerbagh Crossroads to Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund.
“The cancellation of the NEET-UG examination was a clear indication of the Centre’s failure to ensure transparency and accountability in conducting one of the country’s most important entrance tests. Students spend years preparing for the examination, but due to the negligence of the central govt , their hard work has gone in vain,” he alleged.
Mahesh Goud assured the students and their families that Congress would stand firmly with them in their fight for justice. Highlighting the initiatives of the Congress govt in Telangana, he said, special priority was being given to the education and healthcare sectors.
The Congress leaders accused the Modi govt of burdening common people by increasing LPG, petrol, and diesel prices immediately after the completion of elections in five states.
