Boy, 8, electrocuted after touching live wire during rains in Bidar

Bidar: An eight-year-old boy died after coming into contact with an electric service wire during heavy rain in Hulsur town in Bidar district on Thursday.The boy was identified as Ali, 8, a resident of Momeen Mohalla, Ward No. 3 in Hulsur town. He died on the spot after being electrocuted by a live wire amid the rain. Following the incident, he was rushed to the community health centre, where doctors declared him brought dead.Hulsur tahsildar Shivanand Metre visited the community health centre, expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured that necessary steps would be taken to provide relief and assistance from the govt.Gescom assistant executive engineer Ganapathy Mainale visited the spot, conducted an inspection and said appropriate action would be taken to address the issue.Taluk panchayat executive officer Mahadeva Jammu, CPI Alisab, revenue inspector Sharanu Pavadshetty and medical officer Shashikant Kanade also visited the spot and conducted an inspection.A case has been registered at Hulsur police station and further investigation is under way.
