Bhopal: Kalanjali, Bhopal’s classical arts institution, will celebrate 27 years of dance and music with its annual festival Kalanjali Kalotsav on Friday, June 12, at Hamsadhwani Auditorium, Ravindra Bhawan. The show begins at 5:30 PM.
Founded in 1998 by Bharatanatyam maestro Guru Shri Pradeep Krishnan, Kalanjali has spent nearly three decades training young dancers and keeping India’s classical traditions alive in Madhya Pradesh.
The evening’s biggest moment will be the Rangapravesham, a traditional ceremony where 27 students will take the stage as trained classical dancers for the very first time after years of hard work, practice and dedication.
Over 100 performers will take part in the festival, which will also feature live classical music by musicians from Pune and Mumbai, along with vibrant folk dance performances.
Tourism Secretary Dr. Ilayaraja T. (IAS) and BHEL General Manager Shri Rupesh Telang will attend as chief guests.
