Madhya Pradesh horror: 6-year-old girl raped by her uncle in Rewa
BHOPAL: A six-year-old girl was raped by her paternal uncle, who has a criminal background, in Rewa district on June 3. The girl has been admitted to a hospital for observation. The accused, who lives in the neighbourhood, lured the girl with an ice cream and then raped her.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station in Rewa district. The father of the survivor also has a criminal past and is currently lodged in a jail. When the crime took place, the mother of the girl had gone to attend a court hearing of her husband (the girl’s father). When the mother returned home in the evening, the girl narrated her ordeal. The girl’s mother approached the police the next day and lodged a complaint.
“Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused and we have launched a hunt to arrest him. He too has criminal records and is named in a few criminal cases. After the mother of the girl came with her, she was sent to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for a medical examination, where doctors found injuries and admitted her for observation. She is also under shock and is admitted to the hospital but is out of danger,” Kotwali police station in-charge Nisha Mishra told TOI.
“The accused and father of the survivor are siblings, and both have criminal records. But both the families have enmity. They live in the neighbourhood,” Mishra said.
“Efforts are on to arrest the accused and we are hopeful of arresting him soon,” Mishra added..
