Watch: UP man jumps from 4th floor of hospital building, narrowly escapes tragedy
PRAYAGRAJ: A man, allegedly mentally ill, attempted to jump from the fourth floor of the new building of the district hospital under the limits of Kotwali police station of Pratapgarh district on Thursday.
The man jumped from the window on the fourth floor and fortunately got trapped on the terrace. A team of police and fire department finally rescued him.
Eyewitnesses told police that the youth was spotted behaving abnormally after falling on the terrace.
Upon being alerted, the hospital administration informed fire department and police after which a joint team was assigned the task to rescue him.
He was admitted to the hospital a day before the incident and was undergoing treatment at the medicine ward, said sources.
