Shakti actress Kamya Panjabi to tie the knot next year with Delhi-based Shalabh Dang; opens up about second marriage, heartbreaks and more

Shakti actress Kamya Panjabi, who has found love again in Delhi-based healthcare professional Shalabh Dang and is all set to tie the knot next year shared a family picture on her social media account. The actress is smiles as she poses with the entire family. She captioned the image as, "Family ❤️ @shalabhdang." As soon as Kamya shares the picture, wishes from her friends and co-stars started pouring in. While Kamya looks radiant in a bright yellow floral dress, Shalabh looks dapper in a black suit. Talking exclusively to BT, the actress, who is currently seen on 'Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki', says, "I will be a married woman by this time next year (laughs!). I contacted Shalabh in February, after a friend told me to consult him about some health woes that I was facing. We got chatting and in a month-and-a-half, he proposed marriage. Tying the knot again was a huge deal for me and hence, I took my time to think about it." (Photo: Instagram).

Kamya added, "Following a failed marriage and a few heartbreaks, I had almost turned averse to the idea of tying the knot and falling in love. In fact, there came a point when main shaadi ke khilaaf ho gayi thi. But Shalabh has made me believe in love and the institution of marriage again. It’s Kamya’s strong-headed and fiercely opinionated nature that Shalabh appreciates the most. She shares, "Some men find it difficult to handle strong women, but that’s what Shalabh loves about me — my devil-may-care attitude and the fact that I don’t fear taking a stand. I am short-tempered and he is extremely patient with me. He has a calming effect on me," she said. (Photo: Instagram)

"Shalabh also understands my work and responsibility towards my family. I have been the man of the house for years. He supports me and loves me for what I am. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. He makes me feel emotionally secure and this is something I have never felt before,” Kamya shared. (Photo: Instagram).

It’s not just the couple, their families are bonding well, too. While Kamya’s nine-year-old daughter, Aara, is extremely fond of Shalabh, the latter’s 10-year-old son, Ishan, from his ex wife, dotes on the actress. Kamya tells us, “I reach out to Shalabh when Aara gets stubborn because she listens to him. It’s such a relief to see them bond so well.
