Meet the TV actors who also have a degree in engineering

A number of television actors have completed their engineering before they got into acting. On Engineers’ day, we take a look at these actors, some of who even took up regular jobs, before they finally took the plunge into the world of glamour.

Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar

Even though she loved music, yet she started her career as an engineer. She completed her degree in electronics and telecommunications. But at some point, she decided to switch to showbiz. People have loved her in shows like Swaragini- Jodein Rishton Ke Sur and Pehredaar Piya Ki . Also, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, where the audience saw a different side to Tejaswi.

Abhinav Shukla

Abhinav has been a studious guy ever since he was in school. After finishing his school, he enrolled in an engineering college and did a course in electronics and communications. His stint on Bigg Boss 14 and how he saved his relationship with Rubina Dilaik was much-talked about.

Karan V Grover

After finishing his degree in chemical engineering, Karan knew that this was not something he wanted to pursue. He soon joined the glamour industry and has done a number of shows over the years like Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant and Lakhon Mein Ek.

Manish Raisinghan

The Sasural Simar Ka actor has completed his education in mechanical engineering. But he felt his calling was elsewhere and started his acting career in 2002.

Harshad Chopda

Education was important and Harshad decided to complete his engineering degree first. But the performer in him wanted to do something and so he convinced his family and embarked on a new journey in 2006 with the show Mamta.

Shivangi Khedkar

Just like her co-star Sai Ketan Rao, Shivangi too is an engineer by profession. She did her degree in computer science but later too up acting in the Telugu industry. Right now she is a part of the show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali and is happy with her decision.

Sai Ketan Rao

He is one the most educated actors of the industry. He holds an engineering degree in computer science and later did MBA too. Right now he is seen portraying the role of Raghav Rao in the show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali.
