Bigg Boss 16 contestants: Probable list of participants in the upcoming season

Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16 is all set to premiere on October 1 (Saturday). The season promises to be an entertaining one with an interesting line-up of contestants this time. Sreejita De, who was last seen in Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka in 2020, is going to be back on television with the reality show. The actress has been locked for the new season. Sreejita has done several popular shows on television including Uttaran and Nazar. She got engaged to her beau, Michael Blohm Pape, in December last year in Paris while the two were on a trip to Europe. Talking about her wedding, she had earlier told BT, "It will happen by the end of this year (2022). It will be a close-knit ceremony with just 70-100 people in attendance." (Photo: Instagram)

Sajid Khan, who has been missing in action, is likely to return to the limelight by participating in Bigg Boss 16. ETimes TV had exclusively reported that the makers have approached him and the popular director-actor was seriously considering being a part of the show. His participation will add spice to the show as he was involved with Jacqueline Fernandez, and was accused of sexual harassment in October 2018 by some female colleagues. The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTA) imposed a ban on Sajid from directing films in light of the allegations. It was subsequently revoked a year later on 10 December 2019.

Munawar Faruqui, who won Ekta Kapoor's Lock Upp, might also be seen in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16. Even though Munawar was also touted to be one of the contestants on Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, things did not go as planned and he opted out of the show.
