Cyclo tour

Long before motorbikes, cars and tuk tuks clogged the streets with their loud engines, beeping and exhaust, cyclos cruised along, delivering their passengers calmly to their destination. A dying form of transport, cyclos are synonymous with travel in the city and, like bicycles, are a great way to get to know the city via the streets and landscape passing by.
First introduced in the 1930s, cyclos are still a cheap and cheerful way to travel from A to B. Cyclo drivers however are said to be some of the poorest Cambodian employees, many often living out of their cyclos on the street at night without a proper home to return to. Determined to help those in need and preserve this dying art, the Cyclo Conservation & Careers Association (CCCA) was established to provide work for drivers in need, while also sharing this age-old tradition with visitors. The CCA provide a space for cyclo drivers to visit and use their wash facilities, seek medical assistance and even learn English and money management skills.

CCCA can arrange tours for visitors and groups to visit specific sites around town or just to cycle around and let the city speak for itself. Tours can be arranged through your guesthouse or you can contact the CCCA directly to discuss your tour options. How about a gang of cyclos supporting transport for a bar crawl, travelling dinner or scavenger hunt?!
