Located at a height of 1600 m above sea level, this quaint town was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government. Munnar, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams—Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala—is part of the Idukki district of Kerala. Given its exquisite beauty coupled with excellent connectivity, this popular hill station is thronged by tourists who have ample things to do in Munnar. Exquisite flora and fauna, pristine valleys and lush green scenery make it an idyllic tourist destination. Munnar has a lot to offer for every kind of traveller whether it is adventure, relaxation or wildlife exploration. Due to its pleasant weather, Munnar can be visited year-round. However, the winter months of December to February are some of the best months to visit this town. During the monsoon months of June-September, one can enjoy a quiet holiday and the summers make it a perfect time for sightseeing and to enjoy the unending tea gardens.
