What could be more relaxing on a holiday than to lie down in complete comfort in a warm room with gentle aromas and beautiful views of snow covered peaks or of the lush green meadows while being pampered with a delicate spa treatment? If this is your idea of a holiday, head over to Khyber Resort or Vintage Hotel in Gulmarg.Khyber spa is one of the most comfortable and luxurious one that I’ve visited. The spa is run by L’Occtaine which runs spas at various five star facilities across the country. On offer are Swedish, Hawaiian, Lomi Lomi, Balinese and Shaitsu treatments in addition to the special home grown and blended treatments which the spa specializes in. Add to this the gorgeous views of snow covered peaks and you have the perfect spa experience.
The spa at the Vintage Hotel in Gulmarg offers a private Jacuzzi, a sauna chamber and a steam room and provides a wide range of massages by skilled and trained masseurs. As the spa is located on the top floor of the hotel, it overlooks the Gulmarg meadows and the golf course. In the summer months, you’ll get soothing views of the lush green meadows while in the winter season, you’ll see snow covered fields while being pampered in the warm environs of the spa.
