This prehistoric dinosaur park is located just outside Edmonton and definitely worth a visit if you have the kids in tow. Imagine the park in Jurassic Park, without the real dinosaurs of course but with gigantic life-sized replicas. Some of the activities here include guided safaris, digging for fossils and the chance to picnic on site. Inside the interactive display children can even hop onto one of the dinosaurs back for a wild ride. Self-guided treks are also available and families will have a blast searching for creatures in the forest with their helpful guide. A play area is especially designed for children 2 years of age and older who want to dig for their own fossils, climb over rocks and crawl through tunnels. There is no bad time to visit this forest as it is open 7 days a week from 9am-7pm, with the last admission at 6pm. As an add-on, families and kids can try their hand at the mini golf course. Don’t forget good walking shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and your camera; but if you do forget the gift shop has plenty of items for sale that you may need.
