Popular plate: Aside from the fish specialities, customers here are so keen on the patatas bomba - or filled potato dumplings - that they call in advance to make sure they're on.

This long-established, old-school, family-run tapas bar is one of our top recommendations for a great, inexpensive lunch. Just reading the menu may get you drooling, especially if seafood is your thing: fried prawns, calamari, prawns, clams and, for the brave, snails are all extremely good here. If you can't decide, do as the locals do and order the menu del dia.
Service is cheerful and the decor has barely changed since 1969, but that's part of the charm.
