The official website of the farmhouse reads, "Rumored to have been a brothel and speakeasy during the Great Depression, this two hundred year old farmhouse at the edge of October Mountain State Forest is renown for its larger than life founders, Mama Maria Frasca and her three musical daughters, and a colorful history, rich in music and local mythology."
In 1975, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez and Allen Ginsberg visited the place while on a musical tour. The farmhouse made an appearance in Dylan's 1978 movie Renaldo and Clara. This impressive, off the beaten path farmhouse is everything a solitude seeker can ask for.
It’s no less than magic that the farmhouse is up for sale for the first time in 25 years! The farmhouse includes the 43 acres of land and 3300 ft of space where a restaurant, a professional kitchen, a bar and a music room have been built.
Not only this, the farmhouse also features a beautiful wrap-around porch, and some fascinating baths on the main level. The four bedrooms here are fully furnished and feature all the contemporary amenities.
