Situated a stone’s throw away from Aksa Beach on Madh-Marve Road, The Resort is one of the oldest and best known beach retreats in Mumbai. Check in on a Saturday morning and take advantage of one of the sea-view rooms to relax in your balcony and watch the eagles circling overhead. This upscale property offers sumptuous breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at their restaurant called High Tide. On an elevated footing is the bar, Upper Deck with a flat screen television to watch live sports. Once the sunny day gives way to a mellower evening, you can head to the swimming pool or the beach to watch the sun go down and dip your toes into the soft sand. Although crowded, Aksa Beach is a relatively cleaner beach in Mumbai, and a short walk up the coastline offers further solitude. At The Resort, you can play basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and foosball. Newly-wed couples are in luck as they have special honeymoon packages with superior rooms that come with cake and a bottle of wine and the option of a candlelight dinner on the lawn. End your day with a relaxing cup of coffee at Bay Watch, the coffee shop. For a truly luxurious staycation, opt for the suites which are on the highest floor and feature a living room and a master bedroom opening out to a balcony and a sun deck. For families or larger groups, the villas with two bedrooms, living-cum-dining room, steam, sauna and Jacuzzi are ideal.
