Nothing else can be better for a traveller than to find the best of luxury in the lap of the mountains, and that’s exactly what the Taj Tashi Hotel offers. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque mountains of the Thimphu Valley, this high-end hotel lies at a distance of just one kilometre from the animals at Motithang Takin Preserve and 2 km from Tashichho Dzong, a rebuilt Buddhist temple. Some of the other tourist attractions located close to the hotel include Buddha Point Thimphu, which is just seven kilometres away. The Paro International Airport, on the other hand, lies at a distance of just 60 km from the property. The upscale hotel offers accommodation in just over 60 stylish rooms featuring wood screens and cloud murals, along with wooden decor and stunning views of the Thimphu Valley. All of these rooms come with most of the modern guest amenities including free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TVs, marble bathrooms with bathtubs and tea and coffee making facilities among other things. Other guest amenities offered by the hotel include two refined dining venues specialising in Bhutanese cuisine, an elegant bar, a tea lounge, a heated indoor swimming pool, a well-equipped gym and a spa that offers some of the ancient Indian healing therapies.
