This luxurious, eco-friendly home stay is set in the midst of a 120 acre estate that grows tea, coffee, pepper and oranges. An hour’s drive away from Ooty and Coonoor, it has various heritage bungalows. Originally built in 1851, the Estate House offers panoramic views of tea estates, and has two bedrooms, a dining rooms and kitchen. The Hornbill House is the most romantic stay in the resort, with two bedrooms overlooking the waterfall and the valley, along with a small pantry. Ideal for families, the Pepper House has three bedrooms, a loft room for children, and a family room.
The beautiful surroundings include two waterfalls and numerous streams, with occasional visits by bison and deer. Guests can take a tea and coffee tour, go bird and wildlife spotting, or for long walks and treks in the estate. A machan offers panoramic views of the forest. The resort also follows an environmentally responsible policy with solar lighting, bamboo furniture and water saving devices. It also offers transfers from Bangalore and Coimbatore. Healthy, home-cooked meals are served in the large common dining room.
