Planet 3rd is where the hipsters tread and vegans are spoilt for choice, well almost. Situated in America-mura, the pop culture hub of Osaka, this cafe serves excellent coffee and American breakfast apart from the usual salads, sandwiches, burritos, pastas, desserts and drinks. An ideal co-working space, Planet 3rd interestingly offers computers, and most recently, iPads for its visitors to use. Free Wi-Fi is available, as a matter of course. Ergo, while this address mostly caters to local entrepreneurs looking to hold business meetings, travellers throng to this place in order to take a break from all the shopping and entertainment that the Shinsaibashi District has to offer.
In terms of the fare served at Planet 3rd, everything is delicious, beautifully presented and served in generous amounts. The presence of excellent vegetarian/dairy-free items (think avocado and soy-milk preparations) on the menu is a major advantage for guests with special dietary preferences. The interiors have a very airy and modern vibe to them, given the minimalist tables, lanterns and wide glass windows. You can sit here for hours with a beverage and a snack and work, engage in people-watching or perhaps just think in peace.
