The regulars who visit Ox, clearly enjoy the riverside setting, overlooking the river Lagan, as much as the dishes that they sit huddled over, tucking away with myopic concentration. The sustainably-sourced fish is as fresh as it gets. The John Dory feels as if it jumped from the waters onto your plate. And in a country with rich grazing, an abundance of seasonal fruit and veg, wonderful milk and delectable meat, you’re not surprised when you can’t get enough of the smoked veal or the mountain lamb. The menus are designed creatively around seasonal products. If fine-dining in a laid-back restaurant, abuzz with energy of an open kitchen and plate poetry, mean anything to you, go here.
