A refreshing treat in contrast to the heat of the plains, the misty hills of Kodaikanal is just what you might need for a great getaway. One of the main attractions of Western Ghats, Kodaikanal is replete with forests and some of the most beautiful flora of the region. These include Eucalyptus trees and Shola forests, while the meadows and grasslands cover the grasslands. The Berijam Lake here in Kodaikanal is surrounded by forests and is located about 21 km southwest of Kodaikanal. You would however need the permission of the Forest Department to enter. Head to Coaker’s Walk for the most stunning walk of your life, as the air around you is misty and the plains below look gorgeous. At the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory you can engage in night-time viewing of the sky through a telescope.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
