Set in a sandstone Georgian terrace on a leafy, residential street, 15 Glasgow sets the benchmark for luxury B&Bs. Perfumed with freshly-cut roses, the beautifully restored property feels like an old friend's (very nice) home, which is exactly the intention of friendly owners Laura and Shane McKenzie, who have 20 years of hospitality experience between them.

Each of the enormous, five suites are fitted out with antique furniture and completed by sleek, modern bathrooms and the now-standard flatscreen TV. A hearty breakfast is served in-room, and there's a comfortable lounge on the ground floor that begs to be curled up on.
