Ind vs Ban 1st Test highlights: Bangladesh 42/0 at stumps on Day 3, need 471 runs to win vs India in Chattogram

Set a stiff 513-run target to win, Bangladesh reached 42 for no loss at stumps on the third day of the opening Test against India. India dismissed Bangladesh for 150 in their first innings with left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav taking a career-best 5 for 40. Skipper KL Rahul, however, didn't enforce the follow-on. India then declared their second innings for 258 for 2 after Shubman Gill (110 off 152 balls) and Cheteshwar Pujara (102 not out off 130 balls) hit centuries. MAIDEN CENTURY! What a way to bring up a century. Gill didn't want to waste much time. He steps out and smashes the ball over spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz's head. He removes his helmet, stretches his arms and greets the crowd. His team-mates in the dressing room stand and applaud. What a moment for this young lad. He missed on a Test century in Brisbane last year and now added one to his stat.

DAY 3, TEA REPORT: Shubman Gill scores 80 not out as India reach 140/1 at tea, lead by 394

Opener Shubman Gill is closing in on his maiden Test hundred as India reached 140 for 1 at tea on the third day to take complete control of the series-opener against Bangladesh. India now have an overall lead of 394 runs. Gill was batting on 80 in company of Cheteshwar Pujara (33 batting) as the duo added 70 for the unbroken second wicket stand after skipper KL Rahul (23) was the only wicket to fall in the session.

The third umpire informs that they are not able to use the DRS. The decision stays NOT OUT. The ball-tracking camera went down and failed to capture the delivery so there is no evidence. Shakib is having word with the onfield umpire. Gill must be a happy man. He gives a fist pump to Pujara and goes back to the crease.
