Not far away from the start of this blockbuster clash in Group B but before that, players from both sides make their way out to the middle and line up for their respective national anthems. It will be South Africa's first followed by the national anthem of England.

Chloe Tryon is up for a quick chat. She says that the team had plenty of rest and they have had a couple of training sessions at this venue. Adds that heat was a factor in the last game but they managed it well. Tells that they have practiced in the night as well and it is much cooler and the outfield in Sharjah is a bit slow. PITCH REPORT - Natalie Germanos is down at the centre for the pitch. She starts by saying it's warm and the pitch number 4 is being used. Lisa Sthalekar joins in and says that about 72 percent of the overs in the last 4 matches at this venue have been bowled by spinners and about 70 percent of wickets have fallen to spin which says everything about this surface. Mentions that the batters will need to move around back and forth to negate spin and there are a couple of patches that might produce some variable bounce. Concludes that 135 could be a par score at this surface.

Heather Knight, the captain of England Women says that they would have done the same. Adds bat they bowled well in the last game and will have to do the same to set the tone. Mentions that batting wasn't easy on this track and there had been a few conversations about how to adjust to the conditions. Says that history does not play a part between the two sides as it is a different day and different conditions as well. Informs they are unchanged too.

Laura Wolvaardt, the skipper of South Africa Women says the surface looks to be a bit slower and they want to add some runs and try to defend. Adds that this is a massive game and they want to improve and look to be perfect. Concludes that they go unchanged.
