SESSION SUMMARY - 54 runs, 23.2 overs and 3 wickets. An absorbing session of red-ball cricket comes to an end and it was a session where Pakistan showed robust riposte. The visitors started well in the second session as Khurram Shahzad struck with the first delivery to remove Mitchell Marsh, who was closing in on a hundred. The other debutant, Aamer Jamal, then cleaned up the Aussie tail to finish with six wickets in his debut inning. In reply, it was a sedate start from the two Pakistani openers. Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq looked assured right from the start, showing good application. The Aussie pace attack did manage to beat the bat on several occasions, but Shafique and Imam did well to hang in there. The duo also managed to negate the threat during 3 overs from Nathan Lyon and ensured that Pakistan went to Tea with all ten wickets intact. That said, Pakistan cannot afford to let their guard down in the third session and must look to build on this start.
