Couture carnival

Paris Haute Couture Week kickstarted with Schiaparelli's surrealist's interpretation of a woman's essential closet and Indian designer Rahul Mishra impressing the fashion frat once again with his new collection titled We, The People.

Rahul Mishra

Rahul Mishra showcased his new collection amid the backdrop of one of the oldest French Instutions-Monnaie de Paris. Mishra brought forth a brilliant presentation of beautiful cuts and silhouttes with highest level of craftsmanship.

Schiaparelli

Creative director Daniel Roseberry once again presented a show filled with surrealism at the Paris Haute Couture Week. His garments were inspired by the works of Salvador Dali, Yves Klien and Alberto Giacometti.

Thom Browne

It was Thom Browne's couture debut and his signature designs got a new life in the form of his couture design. This was also the label's twentieth anniversary celebration.

5/6

Christian Dior

Referencing Greco-Roman myths and goddesses, Christian Dior's show demonstrated how even the seemingly familiar can be viewed anew through a contemporary prism. And so a double-face white cape and dress remain resolutely modern while simultaneously seeming to hark back to antiquity.

Iris van Herpen

Iris van Herpen drew inspiration from the future of floating cities and the concept of bionic design. Van Herpen's creative journey began with the visionary ideas of Jacques Rougerie, an architect and oceanographer, known as the Architect of the Sea, reflecting a vision where humans inhabit both land and offshore environments.
Other looks of the collection are influenced by the world’s first floating city, Oceanix that is currently being built in South Korea.
