‘Zakhmi’ to ‘Jora The Second Chapter’: Punjabi action-dramas to watch in 2020

Gippy Grewal starrer ‘Ik Sandhu Hunda Si’ is just a month away from the release; and thus, the makers are doing everything to keep the buzz going. As a step in the same direction, they have released a new poster of the film.

Featuring the entire cast - Gippy Grewal, Neha Sharma, Babbal Rai, Dheeraj Kumar, Roshan Prince, Raghveer Boli and more, the poster hints at an intriguing story making its way to the big screen. Further, it also offers a glimpse of the action that the film will be offering to the audience.

Talking more about the film, it is touted to be an action thriller set in the backdrop of a college drama. It shows Gippy Grewal in the titular role as ‘Sandhu’ and the movie is all about Sandhu’s love and friendship.

Releasing on January 31st, ‘Gandhi Fer Aa Gea’ is the first action drama of 2020. As aforementioned, the movie marks the comeback of Aarya Babbar in Pollywood and he will be seen playing the lead role in the film. Further, talking more about the movie, it shows Babbar’s a.k.a Gandhi’s fight against the drug mafia. He does everything in his power to eliminate the drug mafia from the face of his village. And as shown in the trailer, not even a axe into his heart stops him from fighting the very battle.

The Dev Kharoud starrer ‘Zakhmi’ is one of the much awaited action dramas of this year. Dev who is known for his intense look and acting is kick starting 2020 with this movie. It features him as an ordinary man who doesn’t think twice before going to any extent when it comes to the safety and well being of his family. Perhaps, that is why the makers gave subtitle to the movie - ‘family man’. Alongside Dev, the movie will feature Anchal Singh in the lead. It is the debut movie of the actress. The film will be coming out on February 7th.

Another action drama to watch in 2020 is ‘Daler’. Releasing on May 22nd, this one also stars Dev Kharoud in the titular role. ‘Jora - The Second Chapter’ is one of the highly anticipated Punjabi action-thrillers and there are a number of reasons behind that. Firstly, it will be packed with action, secondly, Deep Sidhu who is known for his intense acting will be seen in the lead and thirdly Punjabi singer Snigga is making his debut with it. Not just this, the movie will feature Bollywood veteran star Dharmendra Deol in a pivotal role and mark Mahie Gill’s come back.
