'Aaron': Reasons to watch the Shashank Ketkar-starrer

Director Omkar Ramesh Shetty's 'Aaron' has already created for a lot of buzz on social media for its trailer and also for being selected for the International Film Festival in Hyderabad and Pondicherry. A GNP films presentation, 'Aaron' is produced by Girish Pawar, Kaustubh Latke and Avinash Aher. It features Shashank Ketkar, Swastika Mukherjee, Neha Joshi, Atharva Padhye, Antoinette Fekete, and Toth Barnabas in its ensemble cast. Owing to the overwhelming response so far, the makers of the film decided to release the film on December 7.

Appealing concept

The Omkar Ramesh Shetty directorial tells the story of Atharva Padhye, of 'Ubuntu' fame, who is in search of his mother. It is about their emotional journey with a perfect blend of sorrow, joy, love and an unforgettable relationship which forms the crux of the film. Marathi stars, Shashank Ketkar Swastika Mukherjee, and Neha Joshi are playing the lead roles in the film and are shown helping and guiding Atharva on his journey to trace his mother.

First Marathi film which is filmed in a foreign location

'Aaron' is touted to be the first Marathi film to be shot in foreign locations. A major portion of the film was shot in Paris and other locations including Canada, Hungary, Romania, Israel and of course, India. The film was also shot by crew members of different nationalities. Its art director is from Romania, DOP is from Hungary and creative producer is from Israel. The actors in the film also belong to different nationalities and are from Canada, France and India.

Swastika Mukherjee's Marathi debut

Swastika Mukherjee who made her debut in the Bengali film industry with 'Hemanter Pakhi', directed by Urmi Chakraborty. After a successful carrier in Bengali cinema and Bollywood, the actress is all set to make her debut in Marathi cinema with the upcoming Omkar Ramesh Shetty directorial. Swastika will be seen in a pivotal role in the film.

Omkar Shetty's direction

Omkar Shetty was born in Mumbai, on 14 November 1984 to a south Indian family. He is an Indian writer, director, and editor. He started working as an editor at an early stage of his career and then went on to join YRF Television as an assistant director. He is known for his work on 'Seven' and 'Khotey Sikkey' as an associate director. He is also known for his editing work in the TV industry.
