IPASE-2026 wraps up, valuation from June 7

Vijayawada: The Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE)-2026 concluded across Andhra Pradesh on Friday, with officials reporting no major incidents or malpractice cases during the examination period.According to Board of Intermediate Education secretary and director P Ranjith Basha, the examinations, which began on May 21, were conducted smoothly under strict monitoring. He visited a junior college examination centre in Vijayawada on the final day to review arrangements and interact with officials.On the last day, attendance remained above 86% in both examinations conducted. In the second-year mathematics paper, 91,268 of the 1,05,969 registered candidates appeared, recording an attendance of 86.13%. For the first-year economics paper, 34,914 of the 40,128 registered candidates took the examination, with attendance at 87.01%.The board said valuation of answer scripts will begin on June 7 at 13 centres across the state. Officials aim to complete the process at the earliest to facilitate students seeking admissions into higher education courses and to enable early declaration of results.The board also issued a warning to private junior colleges, directing them to immediately relieve lecturers assigned for spot valuation duties. Institutions failing to send appointed faculty members for valuation work could face suspension of their admissions login facility for the 2026-27 academic year, officials said.
