Google launches AI Lab at Vignan’s university

Vijayawada: Vignan’s University, in partnership with Google Cloud, has set up an AI Lab, positioning itself as an AI hub in Andhra PradeshAfter inaugurating the lab, the regional head (education), Google Cloud, Navisha Prabhakar, said Google will support the university through research, innovation projects and industry partnerships to equip students with practical, global-ready skills.The lab, developed with Gemini Enterprise for Education, will prepare students and faculty for an AI-driven future across sectors such as healthcare, fintech and automation.B Mallesu, CEO of Henotic Group, said Vignan’s is the first in AP to host a Google AI Lab and announced plans for Centres of Excellence in multiple domains.Chairman Dr Lavu Rathaiah said the facility will focus on real-world problem-solving, while CEO Dr Meghana Koorapati said the campus aims to evolve into a full-fledged AI hub.
